Pipe demand declines, HRC exports fall: Severstal
The decline in consumption in the structural pipe market, which began in 2021, will continue this year, Russian steelmaker Severstal tells Kallanish.
According to the producer’s forecast, consumption will decrease by 20% on-year. However, some revival is expected in the second half of the year, which will be supported by pent-up demand and withdrawal of funds from household deposits.
