Demand boosts Mechel Service shipments despite Covid-19
Mechel’s trading arm, Mechel-Service, posted a 4% on-year increase in shipments in 2020 to 1.52 million tonnes, the company says.
In January-November it sold over 1.38mt of steel products (see Kallanish passim).
The largest contribution to shipment growth was made by high-margin product groups, the enterprise claims. I-beam sales increased by 39% on-year, stainless steel sheet by 32%, ropes by 26% and strip by 28%.
