Deere plans layoffs at East Moline facility
US heavy equipment producer Deere & Company has scheduled another round of layoffs as a result of lacklustre demand, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
On 6 September, the company plans to indefinitely lay off 120 employees at its John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, Illinois. The employees represent about a tenth of the workforce in East Moline.
In March, the company announced similar layoffs at its two Iowa facilities.
