Declining Chinese rebar prices trigger demand release

China's rebar prices have turned downwards, but underlying demand has responded to the lower prices, supporting the market, Kallanish notes. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 4,490-4,520/tonne ($692-697/t), down by CNY 10/t from a week before.
