Dazhou considers steelmaking relocation due to pollution issues
China’s Sichuan Dazhou Iron & Steel is investigating a relocation proposal together with the local government, because of the steelmaker's pollution issues. Dazhou has around 4 million tonnes/year of combined steel capacity, and it produced 2.73 million tonnes of crude steel last year, up by 30.4% year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
