Daye Special Steel profits surge in first half-year
The 3.5 million tonnes/year special steelmaker Hubei Xinyegang Steel has announced first half-year results for its listed company Daye Special Steel. It reports attributable net profits to be up 30% year-on-year while sales volumes have increased by around 5%.
Daye Special produced 581,300 tonnes of crude steel and 1.012 million tonnes of special steel products, up by 1.57% and 4.24% from last year respectively, Kallanish notes.
