Daye Huaxin to build EAF next year
Hubei Province-based Daye Huaxin Industrial has announced its plan to build a 130-tonne electric arc furnace (EAF) from May 2023, according to the capacity replacement plan released by the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei.
The new EAF has a design capacity of 1.43 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. Auxiliary facilities to be added are consist of one molten iron desulfurization unit, two ladle furnaces and an RH refining furnace.
