Danieli updates Baotou Steel's wire rod mill
Northern China's Baotou Steel has entrusted Danieli Group to upgrade its 600,000 tonnes/year wire rod production line, Kallanish notes. The updated line is expected to begin production in early 2020.
The key equipment provided will be a new four-pass TMB high-speed finishing block for the production of smooth wire rod in 4.5-26mm diameter and rebar in 6-16mm diameter. The maximum rolling speed will be 110 metres/second.
