Danieli signs MoU to supply Egypt steelworks
Danieli has signed a memorandum of understanding with Egypt's Suez Canal Authority (SCA) for the supply of a new steelworks at Ain Sokhna, the technology supplier confirms to Kallanish.
The plant will produce rebar and wire rod, with an overall capacity of 1.2 million tonnes/year. Danieli declined to comment on delivery schedule of the new plant, or whether it would include an electric arc furnace meltshop.
