Danieli inks BMM Ispat blast furnace supply deal
Danieli Corus has agreed to supply India-based BMM Ispat an 880,000 tonnes/year crude steel capacity blast furnace complex at the latter’s Danapur, Karnataka unit. The blast furnace will have a hot metal design capacity of 2,400-2,600 t/day, Kallanish notes.
“The furnace will operate on a charged mix of 80% pellets and 20% lump ore, while the pulverized coal injection system will inject up to 250 kg/tHM,” says Danieli.
