Danieli details new Whyalla rail/section mill contract
Italian technology supplier Danieli has revealed more information on its partnership with the GFG Alliance in Australia for the design and construction of a new rail and section mill at the Whyalla steelworks. This was foreshadowed by this publication late last year (see Kallanish 11 December 2018).
The new 750,000 tonnes/year structural and rail heavy section mill will be an environmentally friendly facility that will increase the steelworks production capacity…
