Danieli announces start-up of Algeria's AQS
Italian technology supplier Danieli has announced the full start-up of the new mill launched by Algerian Qatari Steel.
The plant is now specialised in the production of rebar and wire rod, with a capacity of 2 million tonnes/year when at full speed. It is equipped with two electric arc furnaces, two bar rolling mills of 750,000 t/y each and one wire rod rolling plant of 500,000 t/y.
