Russian scrap tax hampers Turkey's competitiveness: Dalbeler
Ugur Dalbeler, vice president of the Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association, says Russia is aiming to hamper Turkish mills’ competitiveness in the global market by increasing its scrap export tax. Turkey is Russia’s largest scrap buyer.
This comes amid expectations Russia will approve an increase in scrap export tax by €25/tonne to €70/t ($85) (see Kallanish passim).
