Daido Steel to increase ferronickel, stainless steel capacity
Japanese special steel producer Daido Special Steel plans to increase its nickel alloy and stainless steel production capacity to meet rising demand.
It plans to build one vacuum arc remelting furnace (VAR) at its Shibukawa plant from August 2023, Kallanish learns from the company. This will be used to produce high-end stainless steel and expand the mill's production capacity for high-grade steel.
