Czech rod exports rise, scrap declines in April

Czech wire rod exports under HS code 7213 grew 1% on-year in April to 61,138 tonnes, according to Czech Statistical Office data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was at $612/tonne versus $700/t in April 2018. Supply to neighbouring Slovakia surged 54% to 23,640t, but deliveries to Germany dropped -14% to 11,102t.
