Czech coal miner smashes targets amid closure preparations
Czech miner OKD produced 2.1 million tonnes of coal in the ten months through October, posting revenue of CZK 6.7 billion ($294.7 million), up CZK 1.2 billion on the target for 2021. The state-owned firm hopes to therefore be able to repay the aid it received from the government in 2020 to help mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic impact.
