Czech acquisition, increased prices lift Stalprodukt earnings
Poland’s Stalprodukt saw revenue in its electrical steel sheet segment surge 75% on-year in the third quarter to PLN 233.26 million ($61.6m) and gross profit grow 76% to PLN 33.67m. Deliveries grew 72%, the firm says without providing tonnages, mainly due to the consolidation of recently-acquired Czech grain-oriented steel sheet (GOES) producer Frydek Mistek.
