Curbed domestic pricing seen encouraging AMSA exports
ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA)’s agreement with the government to curb its domestic flat product prices may see the steelmaker increase exports whose pricing is unrestricted, according to CRU consultant Shankhadeep Mukherjee. However, it might find it hard to gain market share in an already-oversupplied export market.
