CuFe temporarily suspends JWD operations
Australian mineral exploration firm CuFe will temporarily suspend operations at the JWD iron ore mine in Western Australia amid low iron ore prices, Kallanish notes.
CuFe says it has been closely monitoring the impacts of falling iron ore prices on its operations at JWD. It notes that iron ore prices have been falling each month since the end of March 2022 when prices were $158/dry metric tonne (dmt), to a closing level last week of $82/dmt.
