Cuba’s Antillana de Acero to boost output
Cuban longs producer Antillana de Acero is set to boost its output through a series of investments worth some $60 million, Kallanish learns from local sources.
The investments will take the mill’s capacity to 250,000 tonnes/year of bars in the first phase and 380,000t at the end of the second phase. While the timeline for the modernisation has not been revealed, work has started at the mill and is in an advanced stage.
