CSN steel production reaches second-highest in 2021
Brazil’s Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) saw its steel unit’s production fall sequentially in the fourth quarter, Kallanish notes. The company’s annual output, however, was its second-highest in history.
Slab production totalled 988,000 tonnes in Q4, down 11% over the previous quarter but 10% more on-year. The quarter-on-quarter fall was mainly due to the impact of maintenance.
