CSN’s Mineração fourth-quarter iron ore production falls
CSN Mineração, Brazil-based Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional’s mining arm, saw its fourth-quarter performance affected by scheduled maintenance stoppages carried out in November. Lower iron ore production in the period resulted also from weak purchases from third parties and the impact of heavy rains that hit the Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro state in October.
