CSN sees iron ore production rising in 2022
Brazil’s Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) forecasts a year-on-year increase in iron ore production in 2022. Steel sales, however, are estimated to fall next year, Kallanish notes.
CSN’s Mineração unit’s output should be between 39 million tonnes and 41mt in 2022, involving both production and purchases from third parties, the company says a note. This is almost 3-4mt more compared to the 2021 estimate.
