CSN mining dams withstand earthquake
Brazilian miner CSN Mineração (CMIN) has intensified the inspection and daily monitoring of its dams, Kallanish learns from the company. This followed an earthquake in Minas Gerais state on 18 July. The earthquake was magnitude 3.1 on the Richter Scale but no anomalies have been detected in the dams to trigger an emergency.
