CSN advances closer to energy self-sufficiency
Brazil’s Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) says it is advancing towards reaching 56% of self-sufficiency in energy by 2023.
In the last days of July, the company acquired 66.23% of shares of energy company Companhia Estadual de Geração de Energia Elétrica (CEEE-G) after a public auction. The Rio Grande do Sul wind and hydroelectric facility has an average installed power capacity of 910 megawatts.
