CSH reports production loss after delayed furnace restart
Chile’s CAP Group says its steelmaking arm, Compañía Siderúrgica Huachipato (CSH), is having trouble restarting its blast furnace No.2 following maintenance works held between 18-20 January.
The recommissioning of BF2 at the Talcahuano plant saw the prolongation of the cooling process, which led to an extension of the period for resuming production of crude steel.
