CSC Steel's profit drops on lower revenue

CSC Steel, the Malaysian steel subsidiary of Taiwan's China Steel Corporation, has reported lower earnings in the first quarter ended 31 March, 2024, amid lower revenue, Kallanish notes.  The firm says in a bourse filing that its net profit dropped 44.52% to MYR 8.73 million ($1.86m) in the first quarter, from MYR 15.74m a year ago. The firm's revenue also slipped 1.93% year-on-year to MYR 397.43m.
