CSC sees revenue hold despite falling sales volume
Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) saw stable revenue in May compared with the prior month. However, its carbon steel sales volume dropped markedly, according to the company’s monthly report.
CSC sold a total of 616,666 tonnes of carbon steel in May, down 10.1% over April and down one quarter from the year-ago level, Kallanish notes. Year-to-date sales volume reached 3.21 million tonnes, 17.1% lower than the same period of 2022.
