Crude steel output slows in Argentina

Crude steel production in Argentina tumbled again year-on-year in April, Kallanish learns from national steel association Cámara Argentina del Acero (CAA). Outputs for pig iron and hot rolled products also fell significantly on the same basis although that for cold rolled products saw an upturn. April 2016 raw steel output was 319,000 tonnes, CAA confirms. This was -16.9% lower than in April 2015 although there was an uptick by 0.4% compared to March 2016…
