Argentina crude steel output falls nearly 10% on-year in July
Argentina’s steel industry continued to struggle in July, Kallanish learns from the country’s steel association, Acero Argentino. Crude steel production shrank by -9.6% year-on-year to 431,000 tonnes, while output was -3% lower compared to June’s results, when it reached 444.600t.
Production in the first seven months of the year totalled 2.8mt, or -9.7% less compared to the same period in 2014.
