Crescent pipe revenue crashes, but billet sales resume
Crescent Steel & Allied Products says there are signs of stabilisation in Pakistan’s economy and government measures should support improvement in the coming months.
The firm’s steel segment revenue – not including the billet division – in the six months through December 2019 fell to only PKR 356.9 million ($2.3m) from PKR 2.05 billion a year earlier. Loss before tax more than trebled to PKR 261.8m.
