Covid-19 hits Vietnam's July steel production
Vietnam's crude steel production fell in July due to rising Covid-19 cases, but sales remained level on-month, Kallanish notes.
Vietnam's steel production in July declined by 6.48% from June to around 2.4 million tonnes, but this was still up by 13.8% on-year, according to official data from the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA). Steel sales meanwhile reached 2.1mt, remaining stable from June and up 7.4% on-year.
