Council of State rules Taranto can continue production

The Italian Council of State has annulled an earlier Tribunal of Lecce ruling that Acciaierie d’Italia must shut down the hot-end area at the Taranto works. The Council of State had already ordered the temporary suspension of the Lecce court ruling in March. In February the Tribunale Amministrativo Regionale (TAR) Puglia gave the joint venture between the Italian government and ArcelorMittal 60 days to shut down the Taranto hot-end due to excessive emissions…
