Costs, prices squeeze Turkish pipe producers
Turkish welded pipe producers remain squeezed by high hot rolled coil prices and increased downward price pressure from pipe buyers.
Some Turkish pipemakers have lowered their offers as a result of low demand and increased price pressure. Buyers have turned up the pressure due to the drop seen in scrap prices. Some producers, however, are refusing to decrease quotes as they are unable to buy HRC at lower levels.
