Costs dent Bowim profitability despite revenue growth
Higher sales prices offset reduced shipments to see Bowim post revenue growth in the first half of 2022, but profitability suffered, Kallanish learns from the Polish distributor.
Sales fell 9% on-year in H1 to 243,279 tonnes. Sheet sales were down 1% to 92,443t, while sales of pipe and profiles recorded the steepest drop of 20% to 43,968t. Rebar sales were down 18% to 34,577t.
