Costlier scrap lifts Turkish rebar quotes
Turkish rebar quotes have increased further this week as a result of scrap prices rising to the critical level of $300/tonne cfr Turkey for the first time since January, as well as livelier rebar demand.
Turkish rebar offers, which stood at $445-450/tonne fob Turkey a week ago, currently appear mostly at $460/t fob actual weight, though $465/t fob is also available from some producers, Kallanish notes.
