Costlier scrap increases Turkish rod export prices
Turkish wire rod exporters increased their prices last week due to the continued increase in scrap prices. Although Turkish rod producers have seen a significant increase in domestic demand, they are yet to see satisfactory demand in export markets.
Mesh quality wire rod export offers which stood at $400-410/tonne fob during the previous week, increased to $430-440/t fob last week as a result of higher scrap prices.
