Costlier billets push Turkish merchant bar quotes up
Turkish merchant bar exporters have increased their quotes almost twice a day throughout the week due to rising billet prices, which have increased by $5-10/tonne in each purchase.
Quotes out of Turkey stood at $585-600/t fob Turkey for angles, $595-610/t for IPN-UPN sections, $605-620/t for flat bars, and $595-610/t for IPE sections last week. However, exporters were unable to sell even at these levels due to the low level of demand.
