Corsa Coal benefits from Q1 price, sales uptick
US coal supplier Corsa Coal witnessed a 53% quarter-on-quarter uptick in its metallurgical coal prices in the first quarter, pushing the company’s net income to $10.1 million, Kallanish understands.
Corsa’s Q1 metallurgical coal price per short ton sold totalled $156.12. Volumes concurrently increased 22% from Q4 – the fourth such consecutive quarter to register greater than 20% volume growth.
