Construction sector demand lifts Gerdau third-quarter results
Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau saw its third-quarter performance improve after the Covid-19-hit Q2, Kallanish notes. Crude steel production, sales and net revenue all rose year-on-year.
“During Q3, both crude steel and sales grew due to increasing economic activity in the various countries where the company operates,” Gerdau says. “Higher domestic demand reflects the robust recovery of the construction sector.”
