Construction recession, 'fierce' competition hit Saudi re-roller
United Wire Factories Co. (Aslak) reported a -17.9% on-year decline in third-quarter revenue to SAR 106.65 million ($28.4m) due to the ongoing construction sector recession and “…fierce” pricing competition, the firm says. Summer holidays and the Hajj season also negatively impacted the Saudi re-roller’s performance.
Net profit fell -54.2% in Q3 to SAR 8.67m and total comprehensive income was down -93.3% to SAR 487,000.
