Construction investment increases in Canada, led by institutional
Non-residential building construction investment increased by 0.2% month-on-month in Canada in January to a total of CAD 6.1 billion ($4.5 billion), Kallanish discovers from a StatisticsCanada press release.
On a year-on-year basis, non-residential construction investment improved in two of the three industry sub-sectors. The increases were 11.9% for the industrial component and 16.8% for intuitional projects. The commercial component was down by 3.5%.
