Congo signs ore permit agreements with Sangha Mining
Congo has awarded to Sangha Mining three exploration permits for the Badondo, Avima and Nabemba iron ore deposits. The first iron ore export consignment is expected in 2023, the Congo finance ministry says.
The mineral resource of these three deposits combined is estimated at 1.097 billion tonnes, for an operation of more than 25 years each. Production capacity is estimated at 100 million t/year, with total investment cost at $18.5 billion.
