Colombian steel performance slows in August
Colombian crude and long steel production each fell slightly month-on-month in August but remained higher on-year, Kallanish learns from local steel producers' association Comité Colombiano de Productores de Acero (CCPA).
Colombia produced 144,843 tonnes of long steel during the month, down just 1.6% compared to 147,198t in July, but 28,581t higher year-on-year. January-August production amounted to 1.02 million tonnes, up 46.4% y-o-y.
