Coking coal enjoys boost
Seaborne coking coal prices are continuing to enjoy a less dramatic but significant increase thanks to the wild bull-run for steel in China. Trades suggest premium cargoes are trading several dollars higher just over the last several days, Kallanish notes.
75,000 tonnes of Branded hard coking coal traded on GlobalCoal at $97.5/t fob Australia for June shipment. That compared with a similar cargo at $92.5/t on 11 April.
