CNMC Nickel refurbishes Myanmar ferronickel furnace
On 10 April CNMC Nickel Company completed casting concrete at the No.1 submerged arc furnace plant at its project in Myanmar, Kallanish notes.
CNMC operates 72-MVA ferronickel furnaces in Asia, with capability to smelt 1.22 million tonnes/year of mineral into around 85,000 tonnes/year of ferronickel. The No.1 furnace had been in operation since February 2011 at CNMC's nickel mine in Tagaung Taung.
