CMP resumes operations after force majeure
Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CAP Minería – CMP), the mining arm of Chile's CAP group, says its pellet plant and loading activities at its Guacolda II and Las Losas ports have resumed since 17 February.
These were halted for more than two weeks due to a workers’ strike outside of the company’s site in Huasco. Demonstrations led to a blockade of public roads in the region (see Kallanish passim).
