CMC Poland shipments surge despite import pressure

CMC Poland’s margins remain under pressure as a result of elevated import levels into Europe, says US parent CMC. The overhang of steel imports is easing but remains a headwind. Nevertheless, the Polish mill’s shipments grew 25% on-year in the second fiscal quarter through February to 380,000 short tons.
