CMC Poland reduces shipments, foresees demand, cost improvement
CMC anticipates seasonal demand improvement in Europe in the fiscal quarter through May and for its Polish mill shipments to remain above the long-term historical average following its recent capacity increase, Kallanish notes.
CMC Poland steel product sales in the second fiscal quarter through February fell 3% on-year to 436,000 short tons, as merchant and other product sales fell 9% to 253,000st and despite rebar sales rising 6% to 183,000st.
