CMC gets $21m toward new rebar mill
Commercial Metals Company has secured $21m in funding toward a new 380,000 short ton/year electric arc furnace in Durant, Oklahoma, Kallanish learns from an announcement by investor National New Markets Fund.
The prospective rebar mill is expected to be operational by the latter half of 2017, the investor says. It will feature a “…uniquely clean and green” micro-mill melting process, it adds.
